Dr Balasubramanian S. attained his B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the University of Madras in 2003. Subsequently, he earned his M.Tech and PhD in Chemical Engineering from SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRM IST), Kattankulathur Campus in 2005 and 2017, respectively.
In 2006, he embarked on his academic journey as a Lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering at SRMIST, Kattankulathur, Tamil Nadu, India. Over the years, he progressed to the role of Assistant Professor within the same department. Then in 2021, he moved to KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology (KPRIET) in Coimbatore, where he has continued to excel in his role as a Professor ever since.
He is interested in teaching and research in the field of Process Design, Computational Fluid Mechanics, Fluid-Particle Dynamics, Micro hydrodynamics (Micro fluidics/Lab-on-a-Chip), Industrial effluent treatment, Fluidization, Process design and Economics. He taught the courses such as Process Calculations, Organic Chemical Technology, Chemical Process Equipment Design and Drawing, Process Engineering Economics at both Under graduate and Graduate level.
